“Do you know who I am?” That was the running joke around the Robinson household.
Sgt. Major Charles E. Robinson was his name and title during his 26 year career as a Marine. He made regiment Sgt. Major and reached the highest rank available to an enlisted man. It was no easy task. So if someone didn’t know who he was they did by the end of that conversation.
Born and raised in Arkansas, he moved to Vallejo, CA in high school where he met his future wife Mary Ann Robinson (Harrison).
